What is microblading?
Microblading is a semi-permanent, cosmetic tattoo procedure. Unlike a traditional tattoo, the microblading needle is a handheld tool and does not go as deep into the skin. This allows for a more realistic hair-like stroke.
How long does microblading last?
This varies from person to person, everyone's results last a different amount of time because everyone's skin is different. A color refresh is recommended from 1-2 years after your initial procedure.
How long does an appointment take?
Microblading is split into at least two sessions. The first sessions usually takes about 2 hours. This is also the longer appointment because of the brow mapping and shaping. The touch up can take up to an hour and a half.
How do touch ups work?
You will need a touch up 6-8 weeks after your initial procedure. This is to enhance color, add density, and fill an any spots that might have healed differently. This is included in your original price.
Does microblading hurt?
We use a range of anesthetics to make the procedure as painless as possible. A topical numbing agent is applied for 30 minutes before the procedure and a liquid numbing agent during for continued comfort.
How long is the recovery/healing time?
Your brows will appear darker the first two days. After this, they will gradually lighten during the complete healing process. Each person heals a littler differently. You may leave a little red after your appointment.
You must avoid working out for 5-7 days following your appointment. Light exercising is allowed (minimal sweating), but you MUST clean the tattooed area with lukewarm water as soon as you are done exercising. The salt in the sweat will fade the pigment very quickly and give poor results.
How do you choose shape and color?
We work together to find a shape that is best for your face and eye shape. A consult is done at the beginning of each appointment to discuss likes and dislikes about your brows. Then I will come up with a shape that is tailored to your specific wants and bone structure. Color is chosen based on natural brow color and skin undertone for a seamless look.
Who is ineligible?
We will not microblade people under the age of 18, pregnant or nursing, if you have diabetes, glaucoma, skin diseases such as Shingles, psoriasis or eczema on the area of treatment, allergies to makeup, Keloid disorder, HIV/Hepatitis, skin cancer, hemophilia, or if you're taking skin medications like ro-accutaine and steroids.
If you have a cut, pimple, or sunburn on the area of treatment, we cannot microblade you until it has healed completely.
